What is the Roadbook for Discovery App?

Our tours are self-guided, so before you arrive for your tour, you’ll need to download our Roadbook for Discovery app. This app has all the details you’ll need including your itinerary, daily routes, accommodation details and vouchers, things to see and do along the way, suggestions for places to eat, taxi contact details and lots more info and insider tips. 

The app works offline once it is downloaded, which means you don’t need internet data to use it. This can prove very useful in some of the more remote corners of Connemara! The app also works as a GPS and will give you directions as you go. A handy phone holder is fitted on all our bikes and e-bikes so you can use the app to navigate with ease when cycling.

The Roadbook for Discovery App has all the information you’ll need for your tour but gives you the choice and flexibility to do it your way.

Do I have to use the App?

If you prefer printed route maps and notes and would like to meet one of our team in person at the start of your tour, you can book a Meet & Greet. This costs an extra €125 per booking. 

If you choose this option, we’ll meet you on your arrival day or the following morning at your first accommodation, to go through all the details of your tour with you. You’ll get printed maps and route notes, and we’ll talk through your daily itineraries and answer any questions you may have. 

This is a great option if you are worried about using an app or if you don’t like using this kind of technology. And we’re always happy to welcome you in person too!

No matter which option you choose, you can rest assured that as we’re local, we’re never more than 30 minutes away should you need us.
