CLOTHING
We recommend that you bring clothing that’s easy to layer so that you are prepared for Ireland’s infamous ‘four seasons in a day’ weather!

For Cycling & Hiking we recommend:

  • Breathable tops or t-shirts
  • Walking/cycling padded trousers or shorts or tracksuit bottoms
  • Fleece/pile jacket or top
  • Rain jacket (essential) and trousers
  • Gloves/cycling gloves
  • Warm hat
  • Sun hat
  • Hiking/thick woolen socks (with thin socks for wearing underneath if desired)
  • Gaiters for hiking
  • Walking boots/cycling shoes. Don’t cycle or hike in flip-flops or sandals – keep these for the beach and relaxing at your accommodation!

You’ll also need

  • Comfortable clothes for relaxation & downtime
  • A jacket or sweaters for evenings which can get chilly even in summer
  • Swimsuit
  • Sunglasses
  • Something nice to wear for dinner in the evenings (your choice!) Many restaurants are relatively informal but most local people will dress up a little to eat out, especially at hotel and fine dining restaurants.
