Getting Here - Travel Info
FROM UK, USA, FRANCE, GERMANY & EUROPE
You can fly or take a ferry to Ireland. If you are not sure of the best way to get here, just contact us and we will be happy to help!
BY AIR
There are two airports serving the west of Ireland – Shannon Airport and Knock Airport. Along with Dublin Airport these are the three main points of arrival for our overseas tour clients. Please note that flights are not included as part of your tour package. You will need to organise your own flights to Ireland.

GETTING TO & FROM YOUR TOUR
We know that often the most stressful part of a holiday can be the journey to and from your destination! We have extensive experience in getting people from one place to another in the most convenient and cost-effective way, so we are here to help you to organise getting to and from your point of arrival and departure in Ireland.
When you decide how you are Getting to Ireland, let us know and we will help to organise your transfers both to the start and from the finish of your tour. Regardless of where you are coming from and what type of transport you wish to use – bus, train, taxi, car hire – we will be able to provide you with the best options available.
Depending on the tour you choose and the start and finish point of the tour, your transfers may or may not be included but either way we can advise you. Information on transfers and start and finish points are included in the details and itinerary of each individual tour.

WESTPORT starts
GETTING TO THE WESTPORT STARTING POINT
From Dublin/Dublin Airport
There are regular trains from Dublin Heuston station to Westport. Journey time is approximately 4 hours. Timetables from Irish Rail
From Dublin Airport you will have to take the Airlink bus or a taxi to Heuston train station. Journey time is approximately 45 minutes.
You can also take a bus from Dublin City Centre to Westport. Journey time is approximately 5 hours. Timetables from Citylink or Gobus.
From Galway
There are bus services from Galway city to Westport. Journey time is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. Timetables from Bus Eireann.
From Knock - Ireland West Airport
There are local bus connections from Knock Airport to Westport. You can also book a taxi service from the airport to Westport. Journey time is approximately 50 minutes by taxi.

CLIFDEN starts
GETTING TO CLIFDEN STARTING POINT
From Dublin/ Dublin Airport
From Dublin you will need to travel to Galway or Westport and get a connecting bus or taxi to Clifden.
There are regular trains from Dublin Heuston station to Galway and Westport. Journey time is approximately 2.5 hours to Galway and 4 hours to Westport. Timetables from Irish Rail.
From Dublin Airport you will have to take the Airlink bus or a taxi to Heuston train station. Journey time is approximately 45 minutes.
You can also take a bus directly from Dublin airport to Galway. Journey time is approximately 3 hours. Timetables from Citylink or Gobus.
From Galway
There are bus services from Galway city to Clifden. Journey time is approximately 1.5 hours. Timetables from Citylink or Bus Eireann.
Please be aware that the last Citylink bus from Galway to Clifden leaves at 8 pm.
From Westport
There are bus services from Westport to Clifden. Journey time is approximately 1.5 hours. Timetables from Bus Eireann, route 423.
The last bus from Westport to Clifden leaves at 6.15 pm.
From Knock - Ireland West Airport
There are local bus connections from Knock Airport to Westport, from where you can get your onward connection to Clifden. You can also book a taxi service from the airport to Westport.

LEENANE starts
GETTING TO LEENANESTARTING POINT
We will collect you from Maam Cross, Co. Galway and bring you to Leenane to start your tour.
From Dublin/ Dublin Airport
From Dublin you will need to travel to Galway and get a connecting bus to Maam Cross. There are regular trains from Dublin Heuston station to Galway.
Journey time is approximately 2.5 hours to Galway. Timetables from Irish Rail.
From Dublin Airport you will have to take the Airlink bus or a taxi to Heuston train station. Journey time is approximately 45 minutes.
You can also take a bus directly from Dublin airport to Galway. Journey time is approximately 3 hours. Timetables from Citylink or Gobus.
From Galway
There are bus services from Galway city via Maam Cross to Clifden. Journey time is approximately 50 minutes. Timetables from Citylink or Bus Eireann.
Please be aware that the last Citylink bus from Galway to Clifden leaves at 5.30 pm.
We will collect you at the Maam Cross bus stop and bring you to Leenane. Please confirm your expected arrival time at Maam Cross at least 30 days before your arrival date.
From Westport
There are bus services from Westport via Leenane to Clifden. Journey time is approximately 1.5 hours. Timetables from Bus Eireann.
You can also book a taxi from Westport to Leenane. Journey time is approximately 45 minutes.
From Knock - Ireland West Airport
There are local bus connections from Knock Airport to Westport, from where you can get your onward connection to Leenane. You can also book a taxi service from the airport to Westport.
